                                                            NUCLEAR ENERGY

“Today our foremost energy challenge is, to meet the increasing needs of people without adding to our environment problems, namely, global warming and air pollution.” This particular book ‘Nuclear Energy’ is a philosophical book. This book explains clearly about the Nuclear Energy which can be substituted with fuel. The UK environmentalist James Lovelock explains with ‘Gaia’ theory that the Earth operates as a giant, self-regulating super organism, now it looks forward Nuclear Energy as a key to our Planet’s future health. He also says that the first World behaves like an addicted smoker, disturbed by short-term benefits.

“Civilization is in Danger”, he warns. He also asks to use Nuclear-the one safe, available energy source in this book. Otherwise we have to bear the pain which would soon be inflicted by our outraged Planet. Inresponse to this, the Governments and Environmentalists on every continent have begun to re-evaluate the benefits of Nuclear Power as a clean, non-emitting energy source. Today Nuclear Power Plants operate in some thirty Countries, and Nuclear Energy has become a safe and reliable source of one sixth of World’s electricity. This book also clearly explains how the Nuclear Power plants function, with illustrations. I enjoyed reading this book; I hope you will also have some interest to go through this book.
